CANON DISTINCTIVE PHOTOGRAPHY SHARED IN AN INSTANT: THE EOS 1300D |
|
March
2016 – Canon unveils
a new entry-level EOS DSLR – the EOS
1300D. An ideal introduction to DSLR photography, the EOS 1300D
includes Wi-Fi and Dynamic NFC to make sharing simpler than ever, alongside a
range of improved features to help you take impressive, creative photos and
movies. With an 18 megapixel sensor and responsive handling, the EOS 1300D is
the perfect camera for capturing images with a distinct look and feel that are
immediately shareable.
Capture
quality in every shot -For photographs that stand out from the crowd, the EOS 1300D includes
Canon’s DIGIC 4+
processor and a large APS-C sized, 18 megapixel sensor, letting you capture
intricate detail and the diversity of colour in every scene. If you want to
shoot scenes where people and items pop from blurred background, the
EOS 1300D’s shallow depth of field capabilities deliver just that. From close
up nature shots, portraits and full cityscapes, the camera helps you create
original photographs you’ll want to share, wherever you find yourself. With
more than 80 EF lenses and a range of other accessories to choose from, the EOS
1300D is a versatile DSLR that delivers the results you want today and
flexibility for the future.
Learn,
grow and take control - DSLR photography can be daunting for
beginners, but with the EOS 1300D even first timers can take stunning quality
photos straight out of the box. Scene Intelligent Mode puts the camera in full
control and chooses the right setting for you – or with a twist of the mode
dial you can opt for a shooting mode designed for specific subjects, such as
the new Food mode. Responsive Auto Focus through the viewfinder ensures even
moving subjects remain in focus, helping you shoot action scenes at three
frames per second. For fun, unique creations you can also apply a series of
Creative filters, such as Toy camera and Fish-eye. As your photography skills
progress you can take advantage of semi-automatic or full manual control modes.
With the ability to choose your own creative settings, from aperture, shutter
speed and ISO between 100 and 6,400 – which is expandable to ISO 12,800, the
camera gives you the freedom to learn and shoot your favourite moments even as
the light fades. For professional-looking footage, you can capture every detail
in Full HD quality, thanks to the large sensor, and shoot with a shallow depth
of field to add a cinematic flare to your home and holiday movies. The camera
offers the same manual control in movie mode as in stills. Using Video Snapshot
mode you can also record a series of short clips, which can be automatically
joined together in a slick video sequence that shows a summary of your day.
Share,
store and rediscover - The EOS 1300D includes NFC and a host of new Wi-Fi connectivity features
to help you store and share your photos on the go. Using NFC you can simply tap
to connect to compatible Android smart devices and transfer your photos, or
shoot remotely using Canon’s Camera Connect App. Ensuring all of your precious
memories are stored safely is a must – with built-in Wi-Fi you can upload
directly from your camera[i] to a range of cloud services,
including irista from Canon, and create online
galleries ready for sharing with loved ones. You can also connect the EOS 1300D

ELINCHROM AND BARKER PHOTOGRAPHIC PROUDLY ANNOUNCE A COMPLETE NEW RANGE OF KIT CONFIGURATIONS AND THREE NEW ACCESSORIES! |
|
The three new
Products are: the New Skyport Plus
Transmitter, the New Skyport Plus
Reciever and the New Protec Location Bag
Elinchrom Pioneered the
integration of Radio Receivers into their Flash heads a number of years ago and
have led the way by integrating power control and more recently Hi-Sync
technology into their heads and Transmitters. Elinchrom launch the third generation Skyport
Transmitter and Universal Receivers. The Receiver and Transmitters can be
ordered individually or in kits.
The Elinchrom Skyport Plus Transmitter - This new transmitter will replace the
Skyport Speed Transmitter. It's robust build, increased range (200m) and wide
channel coverage (16 channels, 4 groups) are sure to appeal to all
photographers. Powered by 2 AA batteries, replacements are easily located
wherever you are in the world. The Skyport Transmitter Plus features a new
robust metal hotshoe.
The Elinchrom Skyport Plus Receiver - Partnering the new transmitter, this
replaces the Skyport Speed Universal Receiver. Again it has a robust build and
increased range of channels. The built in hotshoe means you can now mount it
directly to a speedlite, no cables or adapters required. This will enable
Photographers to mix-n-match Speedlights with their Elinchrom heads and have
the benefit of a single trigger controlling everything. Where the old receiver
used a built in battery and wall charger, the new one takes AA batteries, a
feature many customers have requested. The new receiver will be available on
its own and in a kit with the transmitter.
The Elinchrom ProTec Location Bag - Elinchrom’s latest bag is designed for the
photographer on the go. Quality and craftsmanship is featured throughout as the
ProTec Location bag can be customised to fit photographer’s equipment needs
while enabling quick and secure transportation. This case is an ideal fit for
portable flash solutions such as the ELB 400 or previous Quadra series, and now
comes included in all ELB 400 sets.
Compact Flash Kit Reconfiguration - As part of the release of the new Skyport
Plus system, all Elinchrom mains powered flash kits have been reconfigured to
now include the Skyport Plus Transmitter. In addition to this, Softbox kits now
include 1x Portalite 66cm Square and 1x 56cm Octa, plus a Translucent Deflector
to offer the customer more creative versatility. To simplify the offering, two sets have been
permanently discontinued from the D-Lite RX range, and one each from the BRX
and ELC Pro HD ranges. These changes,
coupled with the introduction of the 2 YEAR WARRANTY, make Elinchrom compact
“To Go” sets the most versatile and reliable lighting packages on the market.
See below for the full list of new kit configurations.
ELB Kit Reconfiguration - As with the compact sets, the ELB 400 To Go
Sets have also been revamped to include the brand new Skyport Plus Transmitter
(Pro & Action sets only). Please note, the Basic HS sets do not come with
any transmitter, but we have created kits which retail at €1,999 with the New
Skyport HS transmitters for Canon & Nikon, so your customer can choose
between the Nikon and Canon versions of the Skyport Plus HS Transmitter. To
make the kits more portable than ever they all also now include the brand new
ProTec Location Bag, and the very useful Quadra 18cm Reflector, which will give
you an extra stop of light efficiency and accepts Elinchrom 18cm grids (sold
separately). You will also notice that
kit prices no longer vary between the head types (Action / Pro / Hi-Sync). This
has been done to focus the customer decision on suitability rather than price,
as each Quadra head type has it’s own unique benefits. For more info on Quadra
head features, please read this informative article HERE.

LUMIX is Panasonic's brand of
digital cameras, ranging from pocket point-and-shoot models, camcorders to

of the Panasonic Venus Engine for digital image processing; the original
version in 2002. LUMIX is also the first
brand to launch mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras in 2008. And in 2014,

THE COMPLEX: FOR IRISH CREATIVE ARTISTS LAUNCHES A NEW PUBLIC EXHIBITION ON BENBURB STREET |
|
Titled: ‘RELATIVE’ - to commemorate the 1916
Fourcourts Volunteers and their relatives
Photographer Steve Mc Cullagh, curated by The
Complex
Commissioned in partnership with the Law
Society of Ireland
The
exhibition will be launched on Thursday 24th March 2016 in the Blue
Room, The Law Society of Ireland, Blackhall Place, Dublin 7, from 6 to 8 pm, by
Brid Smith, TD for Dublin South Central, who has taken part in the exhibition.
“Paddy Holohan,
grandson of Patrick Holohan, one of the volunteer leaders, contacted The
Complex to collaborate on an artistic piece for the relatives of the 1916
Fourcourts Volunteers. We responded with this concept of photographs, showing a
living relative alongside a volunteer, revealing the emancipation of the living
relative, achieved by the brave actions of the volunteer. It was generously
commissioned in partnership with the Law Society of Ireland”. Vanessa
Fielding, Artistic Director, the Complex.
“The location of the exhibition is significant to the
Rising. On Easter Monday 1916, Commandant Edward Daly mustered the 1st
Battalion of the Irish Volunteers at Blackhall Street. They proceeded to occupy
key buildings and construct barricades to control the streets west of O'Connell
Street. Their centre of operations was Church Street and over three hundred
Irish Volunteers, Cumann na mBan and Fianna Eireann took part. Some of the
fiercest fighting of the Easter Rising took place along North King Street with
many British, rebel and civilian casualties. The rebels surrendered at the Four
Courts on Saturday 29th under the instruction of Patrick Pearse. A company of
men separated from the main battalion surrendered on Sunday 30th.” Paddy
Holohan.
The exhibition will
run from March until December 2016.
